11.00Les Hirondelles de Kaboul - The swallows of KaboulFilm

Bourbaki Kino/Bar

Les Hirondelles de Kaboul CH/FR, 2019, 80 min
Director: Zabou Breitman, Illustration: Eléa Gobbé-Mévellec

Summer 1998 in Kabul. Zunaira is young and full of zest for life, a hunger that is anything but easy to appease: the cinemas and theatres in her Taliban-occupied hometown are closed and the university lies in ruins. There is love of course. But love is also full of obstacles. This is a story of oppression, the struggle for a dignified life, and the power of women, which is still as relevant today as it was when the film was made

Introduction by Sascha Lara Bleuler (Director Human Rights Film Festival Zurich)

Admission: 18 .– / 13.– with day pass

In 2021 there will be a Fumetto Special Edition - a panorama of promising and innovative artists will be shown. The special edition is all about "Total Swissness" and focuses above all on national comic art that can be experienced up close. The next festival will be "Same same, but different", because many things will be the same and yet different. For example, Fumetto changes the forms of presentation and adapts them to our current times. At the same time, Fumetto is breaking new ground, which will certainly remain in the future. What this means in detail will be announced step by step from the beginning of next year.

Fumetto is pleased to present you the Special Edition in 2021 and one thing is already clear: Even with Total Swissness, you can look forward to international flair!
